Interros buys 2.1% of Norilsk Nickel, raises stake to 32.9%

MOSCOW, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- Investment company Interros of Russian businessman Vladimir Potanin has closed an acquisition of 2.1% in mining and metallurgic company Norilsk Nickel from Crispian Investments of businessman Roman Abramovich’s Millhouse to raise its stake to 32.9%, a representative of Interros told PRIME on Thursday.

Earlier in March, aluminum giant UC RUSAL of businessman Oleg Deripaska owning 27.8% in Norilsk Nickel and Interros preliminary agreed in the London court that each of them buys about 2% in the nickel company from Crispian, whose stake amounted to 6.37%.

The deals may be cancelled if Rusal wins the case.
